International Address Formatting

International requirements do not allow for more than 5 lines and include:

  1. Addressee’s Name
  2. Street address or P.O. Box Number
  3. City or Town, principal subdivision such as province, state or county and postal code. In some countries, the postal code may precede the city or town.
  4. See #3
  5. Country Name

To avoid delays and possible rejection, we recommend you use a postal code.

Canada Example:

International Mail Description and Physical Requirements

The weight limit on a letter-size International mail piece is 3.5 ounces

Letters size mail must be rectangular and must meet the following dimensions:

Not less than 5-1/2” long or 3-1/2” high or 0.007” thick.
Not more than 11-1/2” long or 6-1/8” high or ¼” thick.

Light colored envelopes that do not interfere with the reading of the address and postmark used.

The weight limit on a large envelope (flat) is no more than 17.6 ounces

More than 11-1/2” long or 6-1/8” high or ¼” thick.
Not more than 15” long or 12” high or ¾” thick.

Light colored envelopes that do not interfere with the reading of the address and postmark used.

The weight limit for a small packet is 4.4 pounds

Maximum length: 24”
Maximum length, height, and depth (thickness) combined: 36″

Over 4.4 pounds will be converted to M-Bag
